I’ve moved!

Standard

I have been quite the absent one lately, and I apologize for that. It’s been a hard month since graduation with many unexpected things happening. In my efforts to start new and begin again I’ve also decided to create a new blog! I hope whoever reads this will give me another chance and come check out my new blog ! I will be blogging more about my love for fitness and healthy food, also life after school and trying to adjust to a whole new town in Texas… But don’t be surprised if I mostly focus on fitness and workouts, because lets face it, that’s just what I do and I absolutely love it. Thank you for checking this blog out and hopefully you will come along for the ride, I have a feeling it’ll be a bumpy one.

Much love,
Chelsea

I am a granola monster.

Standard

Hello!

Today was pretty glorious compared to the past couple days.

Went to Austin with the madre and pretty much hung out in Whole Foods the whole time, typical.

When Whole Foods literally has everything that you would ever need, why would you leave? We ate a fantastic lunch at the seafood restaurant (I got scallops/shrimp on a bed of spinach with a bacon vinaigrette and roasted tomatoes…YUM!) and some midday wine!

Nothing better than some seafood and midday vino with the madre at Whole Foods.

Well, other than getting a crazy amount of granola to restock my already stocked granola stash. I just love their in-house baked cherry almond granola. OH and I needed to get some kombucha/coconut creamer. I miss having a whole foods less than 5 minutes away already…and I’ve only been away from Boulder for about a week.  This is going to be rough.

AAAAAAND I’M BACK!

Standard

AND I’M GRADUATED!

Now I just need to be a real adult and look for a job.

Just to catch you guys up:

-I’m an official college graduate! CU Boulder class of 2012 Alum🙂

-I did much better this semester than I thought I would hahaha MUCH better.

-My poor 12 year old dog passed away yesterday❤ RIP Baxter

-Grieving makes me buy weird/possibly contradictory things…I bought the beach babe DVD from Tone it Up, then bought 50 shades of gray today from target, and PB crave peanut butter.. random? yes..but I’m hoping it’s all awesome

-I’ve been doing the bodyrock.tv workouts lately too and those are KILLER and fantastic. lovelovelove them.

There’s a lot more I want to share but just don’t have the mental capacity right now with everything that has been going on. I will, however, share more soon! (hopefully in the next couple days!)

Hello!

Standard

Hello lovelies!

Since I’m avoiding studying/dancing, I’m gonna leave you with a little short and sweet post today about the things I’m loving on lately.

1. Earth Balance coconut peanut butter spread–not overly sweet and still tastes like peanut butter which MAY boot peanut butter and company out of the number two spot for my flavored nut butters (#1 is Justin’s, duhhhh)

2. Sunbutter is my favorite. always&forever.

3. Colby’s kettle corn– uhh the cinnamon/sugar flavor is delicious and beats out my obsession with popcorn indiana (the nutritional stats on it are FANTASTIC too, 52 cals for 1.5 cups of cinnamon/brown sugar goodness? I’m down)

4. rice cakes smothered in one of said nut butters with a flavored honey stick spread on top = heaven

5. flavored honey sticks. delish.

6. annie’s pretzel bunnies🙂

7. quinoa pasta❤ legit have had it for dinner every night since saturday

8. the hip/hop/urban station on pandora– but that’s always a favorite of mine

9. bodyrock.tv — those women are RIPPED and the workouts totally kick your butt

10. tone it up workouts–but that’s nothin new!

11. E.L.F. makeup– SO CHEAP and actually pretty legit when you’re in a bind with the monies

12. Falsies by Maybeline and their lots of lashes great lash mascara

13. A River Runs Through It — much better book than I anticipated it to be, so insightful

14. still managing a 79 on my JOUR exam even though i literally maybe went to class 3 times since the last exam. Thank god I had a friend in the class/did the readings/thank god for studyblue it’s a LIFESAVER

15. (sounds like a good place to stop) Getting a replacement phone since mine decided to crap out. LAME but good at the same time.  Still waiting on that iPhone 5 though. GET HERE I need some Siri in my life.

April Foodie Penpals reveal!

Standard

I participated in Foodiepenpals again this month!

Here’s a little explanation of the program from the wonderful Lindsay‘s blog! (her blog is pretty awesome btw, so you should run over there and check it out!)

Here’s a detailed explanation of the program:

-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treatsThe spending limit is $15The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you can choose to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
– Foodie Penpals is open to US, Canadian residents & UK residents.  Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa. So, I’m going to keep two separate lists and match US w/ US and Canada w/ Canada!

Now that you know how awesome this program is, let’s get to the good stuff!  This month I got some wonderful goodies from Susan in New York!

She sent a box FULL of great local things🙂 Thank you so much!!

Tastes like a marshmallow pillow covered in chocolate..heavenly

🙂

This chocolate was so pillowy soft!

salty & sweet

Um, I don’t think there has ever been a more perfect bar…ever.  This bar was the best combination of salty and sweet and got to me at the exact right time. Amazing.

The only thing I haven’t dug into yet is the jam. I’m waiting till I  get back to Texas before I open it so I don’t have to get rid of it🙂

Easter candy = my weakness!

Pickle Chips! Interesting flavor, but good!

omnomnommm

Such a beautiful little card!

Love the name of this jam

🙂

ALMOST DONE!

Standard

As the title suggests, I am OFFICIALLY almost graduated form college. HOW COOL IS THAT!?

Now I just need to pass my remaining classes and spend 9030479203 hours on school work…so uncool.

I also need to clean my room (badly) and start packing.. also uncool.

I am dedicating today and tomorrow to cleaning/reading/practicing dance/sneaking a workout in at some point/being a productive little human being (hopefully)

Have a great day all🙂
